It does boot from the disk/usb, but it doesn't go past the "Starting Windows" screen. What can I do here? I think I need to get a BIOS with an option to change "Launch CSM" or something that I can set the boot to "Legacy", because all I can do is disable and enable Secure Boot. However, after having updated the BIOS to the newest version (found here: ), it still only has an option to disable Secure Boot, which I have always kept on "Disabled". I've found this thread: that recommends settings a "Launch CSM" option. However, whenever I try to boot from a disk or a USB that I made bootable through Rufus, it hangs on the Windows startup screen. I've just bought an Acer ES1-432, and want to install Windows 7 on it.
